What a weird dream I had last night.. like right out of a action movie straight to a melodrama. Must be thinking too much.. Was running a fever last night so this morning went to clementi polyclinic to see the doc. Saw a very coincidental and funny thing. Person actually. The tour guide that took us on the reflection trail yesterday had just came out of the consultation room. Must have caught the "tekong flu" as well. Think he saw me when he walked past. Must be cursing and swearing.. hahah...
Waited for about an hour before my turn came and another 20 mins to get my medicine.. Got a 2 day MC but don't know whether to use it or not.. see if I get better.. Had to pay for the medicine.. thought it's free for NSF at polyclinics.. gotta clarify with the sergeant when I get back.. Spent the rest of the day resting at home. Wish I could be out but this stupid illness really suck. Hope I recover asap..

Alright off to bed.. ciao!

Hey all.. I'm back again.. First official book out today! Everyone's very happy.. but next week on the pressure's gonna mount cos the 2 honeymoon confinement weeks are over.. Booked out around 1+pm today and went on this reflection trail.. went to the newater plant, changi chapel etc etc.. Some sort of national educational tour for us. Went home and bathe after that and went straight to town to meet the bros cos many won't be free on saturday.. I think it's a natural thing.. when guys serving NS or finished serving will keep talking abt their experiences non-stop. Anyway.. funny but we didn't do much.. walked aimlessly looking for a place to have dinner and ended up at cineleisure's long john's silver.. chit and chat, here and there and everyone wants to go home.. but it's great to be back to civilian life.. after being in that darn place.. even if only for a weekend.

Think the "tekong flu" is spreading around already.. so many ppl falling sick.. including me. Got hit by fever, flu and everything else that comes with it.. You get the picture. Feel like shit.. I'd rather not be missing out on training..

Alright gonna go hit the sack.. so sleepy after taking medication..

Hey all.. back again. Today was my graduation at NP. Finally got my diploma after 3 yrs. Felt just like yesterday I just stepped into ngee ann poly. Had so much fun there. Still remember my first day there.. Booked out early today morning and went home and sleep. So so tired.. Went to school.. my mum and brother attended the ceremony as well. It's really funny.. 3 yrs in poly and it's only a few secs on stage to receive the diploma. Caught up with many poly friends and took many pictures. Will post them on my next bookout.. which will be next friday! 7 days to bookout! Seems like so long away.. After coming back home, took a bath and went to sleep again. Had my grandma's home-cooked dinner.. taste so good.. miss her cooking.. Tekong's food is horrible.. Folded the smart-4.. hate folding it.. haha.

Alright.. that's all.. gonna enjoy my bed tonight. TOtally can't sleep there.. and that fella sleeping beside me snores so bloody loud every night I had to use my ear plugs for range last night.. plus the constant tripping of electricity on my platoon floor.. the bloody bunk is so hot and humid. Army life....

Cheers and out

Man oh man.. last night as a civilian. Will be enlisting to tekong tmr afternoon. After so many yrs of "going to be ur turn soon!" by the aunties.. it's finally here.. less than 24hrs away. It's crazy.. it feels crazy.. I'm going crazy. My CI course buddy told me BMT is better than NPCC training.. haha i find that hard to believe. Almost got everything. Heard everything. Now it's time I experienced it myself. Really worried my old injury will come back. I pray not. Packing now.. haven't been able to sleep properly the past few days.. think won't be able to sleep tonight as well. Spent most of today at home... felt different today. Had dinner with my cousin Jiahui at night and Holland V and she was really nice to treat me to dinner at Coffee Club. Before that we went to clementi where I bought some stuff last min for tmr. Went to gio too.. to look for her.. pass her something. Think she knocked off already.. passed it to her in charge.

Well.. NS.. new phase of my life. and something every guy in sg have to go thru. I will survive! Won't be posting as often now. Do visit and check in 2 weeks later!

Ciao for now.

To my sibs.. if you're reading this.. take care of yourself yea.. don't let pa and ma worry about you! HY study hard! Zhen.. work hard aight.. ;) Anything sms me anytime.. Will reply whenever possible =D

Yesterday met up with Jack and Daniel for lunch at this Xin Wang hong kong cafe at marina square. The food's pretty filling and it's not bad too.

Jack, don't mind I use ur pics eh.. ate the same stuff anyway =P
They had this "4 heavenly kings" on their menus.. and we ordered two of them.. one was this cheese pork spaghetti which was darn filling and the other was this huge mango ice tower with a scoope of ice-cream on top. Man it's freezing.

Went to catch Cars after that. It was such a beautiful picture. The graphics.. and every lil' detail is fantastic. Prob one of Pixar's finest. The movie itself was great too.. very funny too. Car lovers will definitely have a blast.

Shopped around with the guys cos our graduation is next week and Jack wanna get a tie and pants and Daniel wanted a blazer. I decided to wear mu uniform to the graduation.. save some money too. Haha.

Headed down to town after that to have dinner with my family.. sorta a last family dinner before I enlist and also for my mother's birthday.

After the dinner met up with the guys again and headed down to Holland V for drinks at Eskibar. Joined by Waikee, and he was only in shorts and slippers. We forced him into the cold room and he couldn't take 30secs. Had a blast.. Wonder when we can meet up again after graduation with everyone going their separate ways.

Man what a day. It's the last weekend as a civilian before enlisting for NS. Spent the whole day out with the bros, jiahao, wenwen, yingqin and junhao. Too bad billy couldn't join us as he has night duty tonight. Good thing my dad let me drive the van today. Met the guys at our usual meeting place at clementi before going to Beach rd army market to buy some stuff to bring in. Headed down to the suntec area and had planned to park the van at shaw towers but it was full. It was than that I realised today was the last day of the PC show at suntec. Goodness the traffic was so heavy and every parking lot in the area was full. These are the times you wished you didn't drive. Had no choice but to drive down to my dad's shop opp Boat Quay to park the car behind at the building's carpark. Who knows... this bloody god damned mercedes belonging to some stupid MLM company parked the car right in the centre in front of the chained up lot, leaving a small space at the back. I had such a bloody tough time trying to squeeze into the lot. Some ppl are so god damned inconsiderate.

After that we went to funan for drinks before heading to city hall. The human traffic was as bad as traffic on the roads man. The whole place was packed. Packed with ppl going to the PC show, packed with ppl leaving the PC show. It was almost chaotic, especially at the end of citylink mall going up the bridge to suntec. Ppl can hardly move. We quickly diverted and went to Marina Square instead. Went to suntec via marina square, which was less crowded, and checked out a branded factory outlet sale before going up to the PC show. Man it's crazy up there. Felt like everyone in Singapore is packed in that exhibition hall in one afternoon. It's nuts. Got a screen protector for my cam before heading out. Went back to marina square to wait for jiahao, who had went to a Redcross meeting, before heading for dinner at pizza hut to celebrate Junhao's 21st birthday and also a "farewell" dinner for wenwen and me. Treated junhao and after that he wanted to treat us to swensen's so I suggested heading down to crown prince hotel swensen's. Went over to esplande rooftop terrace 1st to take pics before walking back to my dad's shop to pick up the van. Here's a pic we had much difficulty taking cos I left my big tripod in the van.

Not bad I'd reckon.. haha. Though I kinda like this next pic.. taken near the asian civilization museum at empress place...

Took a few more pics along the way before heading to the van. Saw the aftermath of an accident along the way to town where this taxi collided with a car and there was a police car and an ambulance had just arrived on the scene. Couldn't see anything, hopefully no one was hurt.

Junhao treated us to an Earthquake at swensen's, which was 8 scoops of ice-cream goodness which we devoured really quickly..

Hang out for a while around my parents' stall outside crown prince hotel for awhile and wenwen got a pair of Levi's shoes. Man it's one pricy pair. Drove the guys home after that. What a long day.. though I hope it'd been longer. Everyday is a day towards enlistment. Wonder how I'll take it. Hope it's good. Been a fun day though.. most fun we had for a long long time.

Today was the last time going back to CTSS as a CI. After close to 9 yrs it's finally done. And a good thing it's not a big hoo-haa cos the spot-light are on the bunch of sec4 cadets passing out. Good time for me to bow out too cos I'm beginning to feel pretty lonely at trainings now with all my buddies finished their terms long ago. Funny thing.. I'd usually feel down everytime I leave some place where I've been for a long time.. you know the feelin'.. but today I felt really passive, which is good I guess. Maybe just tired of it too. Sometimes I wonder where was the drive I had few years back, I wouldn't be doing a very good job now teaching cadets. Times are different, kids nowadays are different too. I always look on with amazement that cadets are treating those CIs like their buddies.. when last time we don't even talk to our CIs.. mainly cos we're afraid of them too. Haha.. I think the cadets don't really like me too.. maybe I'm more old-school than the other CIs... Well anyway that's that.. though I did promise the OC I'll visit when I'm free.

Here's a pic.. of CIs past, present and future. Pretty convenient huh? Just take a guess who's who aight. Just realised it's the first picture I posted with me in it.
Hah sometimes I'd rather be behind the camera.. well most of the time.

Well nothing more to say.. Ciao

Think I did mention one can't really see a lot of stars from where I live.. Well went star-gazing tonight again. Well not really.. went jogging, then cycling after that and by the time it was dark so cycled to the park before going home. Counted counted.. counted 21 stars tonight. That's quite a lot.. wondered if those aunties at the park thought I was crazy or what.. really peaceful night though.

Watched "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" today.. really great movie. Lee Young-Ae was simply amazing. One of the best korean movies I've ever watched. Pretty long story so anyone who wanna find out more can take a look at www.imdb.com or the official site www.geum-ja.co.kr ... thought it's all in korean.

Another movie I watched few days back was "Jarhead". I'm sure most of you have heard of it. Set in the first Gulf War, it talked about how the soldiers survive the desert with nothing to do. Yup not a very good description but well what's a search engine for? Wouldn't recommend this movie to these following people though...

1.Anyone who's not in the highest of spirits
2.Anyone who doesn't want to hear "Fuck" in every sentence of the movie
3.Any guys who has a gf and is enlisting for NS soon.
4.Anyone thinking of signing on with the SAF
and
5.Anyone lookin' for an action movie cos this ain't it!

That said.. it's not bad a movie. Maybe you should check out the novel. Welcome to the Suck.
